Kinder Programs

We are prepared to continue alongside your child as they learn and grow to ensure the best education possible. We have an established Kinder and Intro To Kinder program that is sure to keep your young person engaged and excited about learning.

Intro to Kinder

The Full Day Pre-Kinder Program consists of separate 3 year-old and 4 year-old programs that are designed for those who would benefit from a day full of physical and academic education. The hours of operation are from 6:30 am-6:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Preschool students will have the opportunity to learn about the days of the week, months and different seasons during circle time. The teacher leads weather observations, stories, and group sharing. Students learn the value of taking turns, being good listeners/speakers and the importance of sharing and stewardship.

The students receive physical education on the gymnastics floor, bars, beams, vault, rings, pommel horse, trampolines, and foam pit. A large emphasis is focused on safety and loco-motor skills. Please no zippers or buttons as they can damage the equipment and present safety hazards to both the student and the instructor.

We offer music instruction in the Pre-Kinder curriculum.

Throughout the day children are given opportunities to investigate, collaborate, and work on skills that prepare them for kindergarten. Activities are related to math, science, language arts, and social studies. Students have the opportunity to participate in interest-based activities of their choosing within the classroom during “free choice” time.

*Please make sure that your child is provided with a nutritional lunch and two snacks. Good nutrition helps in growing healthy children and keeps them going throughout their busy day.

Kinder

Kindergarten at Denali Gymnastics gives children an environment rich in music, movement, creative academics, and structure. Conceptual academic instruction is addressed using current Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District standards. Music and physical education instruction are integral parts of our curriculum and are facilitated in a piano lab and state-of-the-art Junior Olympic gymnastics facility.

For our Kinder Program, students should be 5 years old by September 1st of the enrolling school year, be able to take care of personal needs (such as toileting),and feel secure when away from familiar surroundings.
